Border Security Petition Letter

Dear Elected Representative,

I am writing as a constituent to let you know that I have signed a petition calling for comprehensive border security and meaningful reform of America's immigration system.

A sovereign nation has both the right and the responsibility to control who enters its territory. America can welcome lawful immigrants, protect legitimate asylum seekers, provide American businesses access to workers they legitimately need, and still secure our borders and enforce our laws.

I am asking you to support policies that:

• Secure America's borders and ports of entry with sufficient Border Patrol personnel, appropriate physical barriers, modern technology, and effective inspection and enforcement.

• Consistently enforce existing immigration laws and promptly remove individuals who have no lawful right to remain in the United States.

• Provide due process to individuals apprehended after illegal entry without automatically releasing them into the United States while their cases remain pending. Provide a specific court date and secure documentation allowing them to return through a designated port of entry, where they would be securely transported by authorities to their immigration hearing.

• Establish strong consequences for individuals who fail to appear for their immigration hearing and subsequently illegally reenter the United States.

• Protect legitimate asylum seekers while keeping the burden of proof where it belongs—with the asylum applicant to establish that they themselves qualify for protection under United States law.

• Examine whether an asylum applicant traveled through other countries where meaningful protection was reasonably available before reaching the United States.

• Impose strong and swift consequences for human smuggling, human trafficking, sex trafficking, drug trafficking, and organized criminal activity, including detention pending prompt proceedings where authorized by law.

• Hold employers accountable for knowingly employing unauthorized workers while creating a lawful employer-sponsorship program for workers American businesses legitimately need.

• Allow lawful sponsorship to transfer between qualified employers while requiring sponsored workers to obey the law, remain compliant with applicable tax obligations, and maintain eligibility for the program.

• Improve and streamline lawful immigration so people who follow America's immigration laws are not disadvantaged by those who bypass them.

• Require transparent accounting of the costs of border security and immigration policy and properly fund border security as a legitimate responsibility of the federal government.

America does not have to choose between compassion and enforcement.

We can protect the persecuted.

We can welcome those who come lawfully.

We can provide a lawful path for workers American businesses need.

AND WE CAN SECURE OUR BORDER AND ENFORCE OUR LAWS.

Furthermore,

I am committed to standing with my fellow Americans to Support Policy NOT Politicians.

If you choose to ignore or dismiss this petition, I will take that as a failure to represent the people you were elected to serve. I will remember that when I vote, and I will encourage others to do the same.

We the People have had enough. Too many elected officials prioritize special interests over their constituents and avoid accountability. That era is ending. We will continue to organize, speak with one voice, petition our government, and hold public officials accountable through every lawful means available.

SECURE THE BORDER.

ENFORCE THE LAW.

PROTECT AMERICA'S SOVEREIGNTY.

Respectfully,
